In the heart of Dhaka’s Shonir Akhra, a businessman named Aslam Khan (38) was shot and injured inside his business establishment on the evening of Saturday, September 5. The incident occurred around 8 pm at the ground floor of the Yatra Bari in Shonir Akhra, near the Giasuddin Road. Khan was subsequently admitted to Dhaka Medical College (DMCH) Hospital.

Aslam Khan’s cousin, Miraj Khan, revealed that their family resides in the Shonir Akhra area and Khan runs a grocery business at the aforementioned location. On that fateful night, Khan was inside his shop talking to a customer when an unidentified individual entered and fired at him, hitting Khan’s left hand and right cheek.

Upon receiving news of the incident, Khan was swiftly rushed to the local hospital and later transferred to DMCH. However, the motive behind the attack on Khan remains unclear, as his family members were unable to provide any information on the matter.

Meanwhile, the attacker managed to flee the scene but was later apprehended by locals and handed over to the police. At the time of reporting, the attacker’s name and identity were not yet known.
