**President Mirza Fakhruzzaman Alamgir urges universities to bolster policy-making and research for enhancing higher education standards.**
On Monday, September 14, at Bangabhaban, the President held separate courtesy meetings with delegations from Khulna University and Islamic University. During these meetings, the President emphasized the need for universities to intensify their efforts in policy-making and research to improve the quality of higher education.
The President underscored, “Our goal should be to equip our graduates to establish themselves competitively at both national and international levels.” He praised the ongoing government efforts to rebuild and improve the education system, ravaged during the fascist era.
During the meetings, the university vice-chancellors briefed the President about the overall activities and progress of Khulna University and Islamic University.
